Kansas Line of Duty Death Support, LLC

On October 24, 2025, the board members of the Kansas Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation, Inc. met with representatives of the Kansas Sheriffs Association, Kansas Peace Officers Association, Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police, members of the Kansas Line of Duty Death Funeral Assistance Team, the Superintendent of the Kansas Highway Patrol, and the Director of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to discuss the need for an entity to manage and coordinate available resources during a line of duty death event.   

The foundation board of directors agreed to move forward with the concept, and on February 13, 2026,  formed the Law Enforcement Line of Duty Death Support, LLC.  The purpose of the LODD, LLC, a distinct entity of the foundation, is to provide support and resources to the law enforcement agencies, families, and communities affected by the line of duty death of a Kansas law enforcement officer.
