The Kansas Law Enforcement Memorial honors law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty to forever remind us of their service. It is time to expand the memorial and create more space to honor Kansas’ future fallen officers.

The expansion is designed to symbolize the long-lasting ripple effect each officer has on their community with a new outer ring embracing the original monument. Standing sentinel at the memorial, bollards emitting a soft blue light at each entry will remind visitors of the service Kansas law enforcement officers provide. The same blue light on the outer ring promises that we will not forget the fallen officers’ sacrifice.

Constructed of the same granite used in the 2004 reconstruction, the addition of the outer ring will provide space for 384 names of Kansas’ future fallen officers.
